For People Who Like and Want to Perform...

At a recent organizational meeting it was suggested and discussed of possibly re-creating a troupe of singers and performers who would put together a couple small shows which could be performed for groups/organizations/events.
This was done many many years ago and was quite popular. People are always looking for entertainment for events, parties, and business/organization activities.

One of the shows would be the Traveling Sister Act Show which toured and performed for years in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. They sang, cracked jokes and did comedy. Very popular.Another show would be a short little variety type show around a certain theme or time period. Solos, duets, etc.
  • Nice thing about these is that there is no age limitation.
  • People could choose to perform if there was a booking and if they were free.
  • It is initially a good deal of work to set the show up, practice it, and make sure it is flexible enough for people’s schedules.
  • Once the show(s) are set fairly well, a quick little practice(s) and we are set to “hit the road” and razzle dazzle people as the bookings come in.
  • Each show would be rather short---generally 20 minutes to a half hour tops.
  • Flexibility is the Key. Various people would cover solos, duets, any narration if someone else were unable to perform at that particular booking.
  • Cd’s and electric piano would be used for accompaniment.
  • Women, of course, could choose to be in both shows or just the Traveling Nuns Show.
  • Purpose, obviously, is to have a good time, perform, and generate funds for the theatre group.
  • The “little band” of traveling performers would need to have at least a core group of 15 and upwards people to make it work. There is no limit to how many we could have.
